We are working to alleviate poverty and create sustainable island communities in Siargao.
<div>We are a multi-faceted organisation that have three founding principles - sustainability, education and empowerment. </div> <div> </div> <div>We do a large amount of work with local children. We use surfing as a tool to build brighter futures for these children and to teach them about the importance of protecting the planet. We do this by providing free surfboard use and lessons in exchange for children's participation in sustainability and education programs. The programs are designed to teach the children about the importance of protecting the island and to give them skills and opportunities that will help alleviate poverty and improve their futures prospects.</div> <div><br /> We also work with island communities, working to create sustainable communities and address the enourmous waste issue facing the Philippines. We have implemented segregation and upcycling projects to reduce and reuse waste and provide income to local women and surfers. </div> <div> </div> <div>We provide volunteer opporutnities in the form of enviornmental activism, education, english development, upcycling programs, homework assistance, feeding programs, health clinics and skills workshops.
