Mission statement

Angat Pilipinas Coalition for Financial Literacy envisions Filipinos to become financially-independent, entrepreneurial, and smart investors in the Philippine capital market.

We especially dream big for the interests of the following groups:

OFW families: Through financial literacy, we foresee the improved quality of life of least 100,000 former OFWs and their dependents by the year 2020. By 2050, we’d like to see Filipinos taking on overseas jobs only by choice rather than by necessity.

Creative professionals: We imagine a community of artists who are equipped with financial knowledge, and who are properly applying sound money decisions to secure their future.

Student and youth groups: To prepare the youth to become successful financial decision makers, we want personal finance subjects included in the curricula and programs of all Philippine public and private schools as well as other learning institutions for out-of-school youth by the year 2020.

To spread the word on saving and smartly investing money, Angat Pilipinas Coalition for Financial Literacy provides affordable and accessible services. Particularly targeted for OFWs and their dependents, we do this through:

Educational trainings and workshops

Interactive online forums and social media campaigns

Life-coaching

Partnerships with other organizations

To involve Filipino artists, musicians, teachers, security forces, skilled workers, and the youth in our financial literacy programs, we offer advocacy, research, standards, and educational resources. We also aim to serve the best interest of our members and other stakeholders, and to contribute to the achievement of the Philippines’ economic objectives.
