Mission statement

PEACE KAMP’s mission is to provide a venue for convergence of cultural, economic, environmental, ethnic, and social advocacies geared towards inclusive growth and enrichment of the culture of peace.

THE STORY began with our immersion with Aytas from Sapang Uwak in 2013.

Our interaction with their community opened our eyes to the opportunity to put personal advocacies to work in this one-of-a-kind community that welcomed us so warmly.

Like other rural communities affected by the effects of  fallout from insurgency, volcano eruption and government neglect, lack of opportunity and poverty has been the key problems confronting the Aytas of Sapang Uwak.

Our immersion is anchored on building community, strengthening capabilities, enabling hope to drive growth individually and collectively – focusing on the children.

The members of our team come from different provinces and different backgrounds but are bound by the same vision

of enabling a peaceful and progressive nation. Each of us believe that development and progress must ensure that no one is left behind—the less fortunate, the vulnerable, those who have been excluded and oppressed, and the victims of injustices—simply because of their circumstances.

PEACE KAMP is an independent, non-partisan and non-profit SEC-registered organization. The journey continues, the community thrives and the commitment grows with every volunteer that makes a choice to be part of PEACE KAMP.
