The BU UNESCO Club specifically aims be to place students, young professionals, and even other youth sector at the center of the intrigue and excitement of international affairs not only to provide a way in developing their skills but also to contribute in world development at the grassroots level.
The Bicol University UNESCO Club (BU UNESCO Club), is the only University-Based Organization in the Bicol University accredited by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization or UNESCO. Formerly called as the United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines (UNYAP) BU Chapter, the organization supports the aim of UNESCO which is to to contribute to peace and security by promoting collaboration through education, science and culture in order to further universal respect for justice, for the rule of law and for the human rights and fundamental freedoms which are affirmed for the peoples of the world, without distinction of race, sex, language or religion, by the Charter of the United Nations.
