Tsinelas ni Tomas Project is a regional campaign to provide slippers and essential school supplies to remote public elementary schools in the Bicol Region.

Fueled by the unwavering belief that “every child deserves to go to school with decent footwear,” the project was launched in April 2023. 

Over time, the project has grown to encompass a wide range of support. In addition to the initial slippers, school supplies, and feeding activities, we now provide school bags, solar reading lights, dental health kits, vitamins, water tumblers, rosaries, food packs (pang-baon), on-site Holy Eucharist celebration, and even entertainment in the form of a magic show.

To date, the project has been implemented in thirty-one (31) “last-mile” public elementary schools across the Bicol region, serving more than 5,000 beneficiaries.

All funding for these initiatives comes from individual donations, corporate partnerships, and self-initiated fundraising activities.

Important Note:

a. For volunteers based in Metro Manila, you must allocate at least 2 days and 3 nights for this event. 

NO FREE TRANSPORTATION and ACCOMMODATION  - Transportation going to Naga City or the Bicol Region (Bicol Central Bus Terminal, Naga City Airport, or Bicol International Airport) and back to Metro Manila, as well as accommodation (Hotel or Airbnb) at the volunteer's account. However, we can assist you with your bus or airport transfers to the hotel and provide free meals during the outreach. We highly recommend checking the outreach site in Google Maps to plan your stay and travel. 

(Sample Itinerary: Book a bus ( Peñafrancia Bus-Cubao Station) bound to Naga City day trip schedule on January 23, 2026 (Friday). ETA at Naga City 7pm. Stay at your pre-booked hotel ( ex., GoHotel-Naga, CBD Plaza Hotel, Villa Caceres Hotel, or Avenue Plaza Hotel). Inform us upon check-in for our reference and for your transportation arrangements. The next day (January 24, 2026, Saturday, 6 am, we will pick you up from your Hotel to the outreach site and assist you back to your Hotel after the outreach. Book a bus ( Peñafrancia Bus-Naga City Station) bound to Manila night trip schedule (8 pm) of January 24, 2026, or the next day, January 25, 2026 (Sunday) day trip (8 am). ETA at Cubao-Station 7pm.)

          a.1. For those within the nearby provinces of the Bicol Region, please sign up, and we will contact you promptly with details regarding the assembly area or pick-up points (WE WILL COLLECT A MINIMAL TRANSPORTATION FEE). You are welcome to bring your own car; please inform us of the details before the event.

b. All registered volunteers will be included in the Facebook Group Chat for this purpose. Thereafter, an Orientation (via Zoom) will be scheduled before the event. Attendance is required.

c. Wear a white T-shirt, pants, and comfortable footwear during the outreach. Bring your own water tumbler, medications (if applicable), an extra T-shirt, and essential travel items such as ID, power bank, portable fan, first aid kit, and hygiene kit.

d. Expect an intermittent cellphone signal at the outreach site. Notify your relatives in advance.

e. For volunteers below 18 years old, Parental Consent is required. (We will send the form to your email)

f. We also offer socialization opportunities after the outreach, including a local tour or an overnight stay at a nearby beach resort. This is not required; if you intend to join, a related sharing fee will be collected.
