Be part of one of Davao’s biggest celebrations and represent volunteerism in motion! iVolunteer Philippines invites you to walk with us at the Parada Dabawenyo, a vibrant showcase of culture, community, and civic pride.

It’s an opportunity to introduce volunteerism to the wider public, connect with fellow changemakers, and stand together as a community that believes in service.

📍 Event Details

Event: Parada Dabawenyo
Call Time: 5:00 AM 
Assembly Location: AdDU Roxas
Route: Roxas - San Pedro Square 
Walking Time: 45mins - 1hr30mins
Note: The parade will start on time, whether all participants are complete or not, so punctuality is very important.

🙌 Volunteer Role

As an iVolunteer participant, you will:
• Walk with the iVolunteer during the parade
• Represent the organization to the public
• Help ensure coordination and group movement
• Support a positive and safe environment throughout the activity

👕 What to Wear & Bring

• Wear a blue top (required) to represent iVolunteer
• White bottoms are encouraged for a more unified look
• Wear comfortable footwear suitable for long walks
• Hats are encouraged for protection

You may bring:
• Light snacks
• Water in a clear/transparent water bottle only

Please take note of the following restrictions:
• No big bags or backpacks
• No umbrellas
• No flasks or opaque water bottles

⚠️ Important Reminders & Guidelines

To ensure a smooth and safe parade experience, all volunteers are expected to follow these:

STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED:
• Distributing or throwing flyers, handbills, or any promotional materials
• Throwing giveaways (candies, fans, caps, etc.)
• Use of foul language or anti-government expressions
• Wearing military uniforms (non-law enforcement)
• Wearing overly revealing or inappropriate clothing
• Use of firecrackers, confetti, or party poppers
• Littering along the parade route
• Bringing firearms or engaging in unsafe acts
• Any political-related activities

🛡️ Safety First

Your safety is our priority. Please take note:
• Security personnel will be stationed throughout the route
• Always follow instructions from authorities
• Stay calm and aware of your surroundings
• “If you see something, say something”

In case of emergencies:
• Remain calm and follow evacuation instructions
• Seek assistance from nearby security personnel immediately

👥 Important Notes

• Our group will be assigned to a specific color zone for parade placement by the organizers (TBA)
• We are aiming to meet the required number of participants, so your presence matters
• A briefing will be conducted prior to the event to guide all participants
