Guardians of the Green
Are you passionate about sports and making a difference in the lives of children and youth? We are looking for Coaches and Facilitators to join our Rugby for Development sessions!
In this session, we use the game of rugby to teach that we are all part of the “Eco Team”. Just as a rugby team protects their goal line, we must protect our city's natural resources.
Rugby for Development Mega-Session!
We are bringing together the youth from SOS Children’s Village, Balay Pasilungan, and Balay Kalamboan for a massive afternoon of rugby, life skills, and fun!
We need mentors to help children connect the discipline of sport with the stewardship of nature.
🌍 Our Impact: Target SDGs
This session is about more than just the game; we are actively contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:
- SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing – Promoting physical activity and mental wellness for youth in community care.
- SDG 4: Quality Education – Using the "Reflect, Connect, Apply, Action" (RCAA) framework to teach critical life skills like resilience and self-advocacy.
- SDG 5: Gender Equality – Ensuring an inclusive environment where every voice is heard, regardless of gender.
- SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities – Bringing together youth from different centers to foster social inclusion and a sense of belonging.
- SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals - Collaborating across organizations to create a stronger community support system.
