Are you passionate about sports and making a difference in the lives of children and youth? We are looking for Coaches and Facilitators to join our Rugby for Development sessions!
For this session at SOS Children's Village, we can use rugby to highlight how "misinformation" (confusion on the field) causes chaos, while "Press Freedom" (clear, honest communication) leads to success.

This session celebrates World Press Freedom Day by focusing on the power of communication and every child's right to be heard:

- SDG 4: Quality Education โ Helping children learn to use their voices with confidence and integrity.

๐ค Roles Needed & Resposibilities
- Communication Coaches: Lead "Truth Pass" drills where players practice clear, vocal leadership.
- Media Facilitators: Guide RCA circles on the importance of honest communication in daily life.
- Logistics Crew: Assist with session flow and ensuring every child has a platform to be heard.
The Davao Rugby Inc will:
- Coordinate with volunteer regarding the schedule, session topics, and program flow.
- Provide necessary technical and practical support
- Ensure a safe, organized, and child-friendly environment for all participants and volunteers.
- Assist in the facilitation and overall management of the activity.
- Provide meals/snacks (if applicable) during the activity.
- Award certificates of appreciation to volunteers in recognition of their valuable contribution.
๐ What to Bring:
- Attire: Comfortable sports clothes and athletic shoes (cleats optional)
- Hydration: A reusable water bottle
- Protection: Sunscreen and a cap or hat
- Energy: A big smile and a high-energy attitude
How to get to SOS Children's Village Davao?
1. Ride a jeepney bound for Lanang (Sasa or Panacan traversing Lanang route). Get off at 7Eleven across Davao City Water District. Ride a tricycle bound for SOS Children's Village.
2. Ride a jeepney bound for Cabaguio (Route 4). Get off at the Panadero Bakeshop near Assumption College of Davao. Ask for tricycle terminal bound for SOS Children's Village.
3. Ride a jeepney bound for R. Castillo Street. Instruct driver you get off at corner Holy Cross of Agdao. Ask for tricycle terminal bound for SOS Children's Village.
Fare to SOS is 10 pesos on either of the three (3) options, but you may add amount as you please.
