The ability to read is a fundamental right, yet many young Filipino children struggle to grasp this essential skill. At Binhi English Literacy Foundation, Inc. (BINHI), we're working to change that, one child at a time. As a BINHI Ambassador, you will represent our mission during the upcoming AXA Week for Good.

About the Project

Founded in 2008, BINHI aims to improve English reading skills among identified non- and frustrated readers, aged 4-8, in public elementary schools and community centers through its 100-day free reading program.

As we join AXA Week for Good, we are looking for BINHI Ambassadors who will be the face of BINHI through sharing our story, spreading our advocacy for early literacy, and helping us facilitate engaging activities that will inspire others to join our cause. To ensure you feel confident and ready, we will provide an Online Volunteer Guide to help you prepare for the event.

Qualifications and Requirements

We're looking for individuals who are:

• Passionate advocates for literacy.
• Able to listen and pay attention to important details.
• Able to engage confidently with diverse audiences.
• Willing to commit at least 3 hours of their time on their chosen schedule/s from June 8 to 11, 2026.
• Willing to travel to Makati City.
• Priority will be given to those with previous BINHI volunteering experience.

Expect to receive an email at least 7 days prior to the commitment date with the Online Volunteer Guide and final logistics. To show our appreciation for your time and dedication, the chosen BINHI Ambassadors will be provided with a minimal food and transportation allowance for each completed shift.

We can only accommodate 2 BINHI Ambassadors per shift. Applicants will be pre-screened, with priority given to those with previous BINHI volunteering experience.
