Volunteer Event
Date: May 17, 2026 | 5:00 AM – 7:00 AM Location: Dahican Beach, Mati City, Davao Oriental
Advocacy: Coastal Conservation • Marine Protection • Environmental Awareness • Community Action 🌴
The Mission Dahican Beach is known for its rich marine biodiversity, stunning coastline, and vital ecosystem that supports sea turtles, marine life, and the local community. However, ocean waste, single-use plastics, and improper disposal of garbage continue to threaten the health of our coastal environment.
We are inviting volunteers to join our Coastal Clean-Up Drive and take part in protecting one of the most beautiful coastlines in the Philippines. Organized in partnership with Amihan sa Dahican and Balod sa Paglaom Inc., this activity aims to reduce marine pollution, promote environmental responsibility, and inspire collective action for cleaner oceans and sustainable tourism.
Together, we can help restore the beauty of Dahican Beach while protecting marine wildlife and preserving the coastal ecosystem for future generations.

• Beach Clean-Up Operations – Participate in the collection of plastics, fishing lines, glass, cans, and other marine debris along the shoreline.
• Waste Segregation & Disposal – Assist in properly sorting collected waste into recyclable, biodegradable, and residual materials to support responsible waste management.
• Environmental Awareness Support – Help encourage beachgoers and visitors to practice proper waste disposal and reduce single-use plastics.
• Coastal Monitoring – Document common types of marine debris found during the activity to support environmental monitoring and future conservation initiatives.

We welcome students, youth organizations, environmental advocates, surfers, divers, travelers, photographers, and anyone willing to make a positive impact for the environment.
