📝 Project Description
Are you a sports enthusiast, youth worker, coach, teacher, or community advocate passionate about child welfare? We invite you to be a part of this vital conversation!
In celebration of International Safe Sport Day, the Davao Durians RFC (Davao Rugby Inc.) is hosting a specialized virtual safeguarding workshop. This interactive session focuses on how we can collectively institutionalize child protection framework protocols across community sports, ensuring every child and vulnerable adult has an empowering, secure environment to play and grow.
Our speakers will dive deep into building safe sporting environments, creating interactive life-skills activity flows, and establishing practical safe-sport guidelines. Come learn, share your experiences, and network with fellow changemakers from across Mindanao!
🌍 Alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
By participating in this workshop, you are actively contributing to global efforts toward sustainable development through the lens of Sport for Development (S4D):
- SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being – Promoting safe physical activity and protecting the mental and emotional well-being of young athletes.
- SDG 4: Quality Education – Equipping educators and coaches with crucial safeguarding knowledge to foster inclusive, non-formal learning spaces on and off the field.
- SDG 5: Gender Equality – Creating equitable and secure sporting environments where girls and boys are equally protected from discrimination, harassment, and harm.
- SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions – Ending all forms of violence, abuse, and exploitation against children by strengthening organizational safeguarding policies.
