Help with Historical Data Entry for Davao Rugby!

To our companions in service! Our community needs your skills and energy to further strengthen the foundation of our sports family. The Davao Durians Rugby Football Club is knocking on your hearts for a bayanihan (community effort) to organize, digitize, and streamline our records and child safeguarding logs.

Event Details

  • Date: June 28, 2026 (Sunday)
  • Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Venue: SOS Children's Village, SOS Drive, J.P. Laurel Ave., Bajada, Davao City
  • 🏡 (Landmark: Behind Ono Dera Run formerly Holy Cross of Davao College - Bajada Campus)

Core Tasks

Together, we will input and organize legacy documents into our Google Sheets:

  • Master Participant Profiles: Recording names, demographics, and tracking parental/safeguarding consent for the safety of the children.
  • Historical Program Attendance: Organizing rosters of participants from our past programs and tournaments (such as Tara, Laro Tayo!, Mati 7s, and DepEd clinics) along with their specific rugby formats (T1, Tag, or 7s Tackle)
  • Institutional Partners Log: Documenting our historical network of partner schools, barangays, and sister NGOs.

Volunteer Requirements & What to Bring:

  • Equipment: Please bring your own laptop or tablet (and its charger).
  • App: Ensure you have the Google Sheets app installed or that you can access it via your web browser.
  • Skills: Basic familiarity with spreadsheets, an eye for detail, and a respectful attitude toward handling private information.
  • Kindly bring own reusable water bottle.
  • No rugby experience required! We will hold a brief orientation before starting to make our community work easier.

What Davao Durians RFC Will Provide:

  • Shared Meals: Complimentary lunch and snacks are prepared for volunteers dedicating their time and talents
  • Certificate of Service: An electronic Certificate of Appreciation issued by Davao Durians RFC for your volunteer portfolio
  • Fellowship & Community Building: A welcoming space to meet fellow volunteers, athletes, and heroes who care about grassroots sports in Mindanao

How to get to SOS Children's Village Davao?

1. Ride a jeepney bound for Lanang (Sasa or Panacan traversing Lanang route). Get off at 7Eleven across Davao City Water District. Ride a tricycle bound for SOS Children's Village. You may also walk, estimate 3 minutes.

2. Ride a jeepney bound for Cabaguio (Route 4). Get off at the Davao Central Convenience Store or the 7-Eleven near Assumption College of  Davao. Ask for tricycle terminal bound for SOS Children's Village.

3. Ride a jeepney bound for R. Castillo Street. Instruct driver you get off at corner Holy Cross of Agdao. Ask for tricycle terminal bound for SOS Children's Village. 

Fare to SOS is 15 pesos on either of the three (3) options.
