Restoring Dignity Through Compassion and Care

Every person deserves to be welcomed with dignity, served with compassion, and reminded that they are valued.

Join us for AJ Kalinga's KALiNgA Days and become part of our mission of Restoring Dignity. Recreating Lives. Through Kain, Aral, Ligo, naNG Ayos (KALiNgA), we journey with our homeless brothers and sisters by providing nourishing meals, opportunities for learning and growth, personal hygiene and grooming, clean clothing, and meaningful human connection that restores hope and dignity.

Volunteer Schedule

Volunteer Opportunities

Station 1 – Welcome
Welcome our homeless brothers and sisters with warmth and respect while helping maintain an orderly and safe environment.

Station 2 – Registration & Profiling
Assist in registering guests and encoding their information to help us serve them better.

Station 3 – Clothing Distribution
Prepare and distribute clean towels, toiletries, and fresh clothing.

Station 4 – Bathing Assistance
Guide guests through the bathing process, manage the queue, and assist in the proper return of towels and hygiene kits.

Station 5 – Grooming & Affirmation
Encourage our guests through grooming assistance and facilitate the day's affirmation, promoting self-worth, healing, and dignity.

Station 6 – Shared Meals & Fellowship
Serve meals with compassion and share a table. Listen to stories, build genuine connections, and remind every person that they are seen, heard, and loved.

Station 7 – Sending Forth
As our guests leave, encourage them to carry with them the day's affirmation—a reminder that hope begins with knowing they are valued.

Before You Visit

Kindly confirm your volunteer participation with Tessam at least 24 hours before your preferred schedule.

What to Bring

Face mask

Hand sanitizer

Reusable water bottle

Extra shirt or change of clothes (optional)

Small tokens or care items to share (optional)

Mobile phone or camera to document your volunteer experience (Feel free to share your journey on social media and tag Arnold Janssen Kalinga Foundation.)

How to Get to the Kalinga Center

By LRT
Take LRT-2 to Recto Station, transfer to LRT-1, and board the Monumento-bound train. Alight at Tayuman Station. The AJ Kalinga Center is approximately a 3-minute walk from the station, beside the Catholic Trade Building.

By Private Vehicle
Parking is available on a limited basis. Kindly inform us at least one day in advance if you will be bringing a vehicle so we can reserve a parking slot for you.
