POSTPONED: La Mesa Watershed Tree Planting!

Environment & Sustainability | Jun 25, 2016 | Volunteer Event

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO DISEASED SEEDLINGS AND PEST PROBLEMS

“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.” – Chinese Proverb

The primary source of potable drinking water for around 12 million residents in Metro Manila is taken from the La Mesa Watershed. Not only that, it is also considered a "carbon sink" as it absorbs 3% of the total carbon emissions of the National Capital Region. Let's help protect the vital supply of water for millions of dependents, and help in carbon absorption in one of the most polluted areas in the country -- join this tree planting activity now!

IMPORTANT: This date is tentative as drought and/or heavy rains may inhibit tree planting. Rest assured, confirmation will be sent at least a week before the event, provided that forecasts are positive and promising.
