Construction assistance for Shelter Project in typhoon Yolanda-hit areas

CDRC needs Construction assistance for its Shelter Project (Phase 2) in Yolanda-hit areas - Bgy. Macanip, Jaro, Leyte.
The Citizens’ Disaster Response Center Foundation, Inc (CDRC) is constructing 152 houses in Brgy. Macanip and 64 in Brgy. San Roque, Jaro, Leyte. This is part of the 292 houses being built in 3 Barangays in Jaro. Shelter beneficiaries themselves construct the houses with assistance from the DKH (Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe), the project donor. We encourage volunteers to help for at least 2 days up to Saturday morning which is regular rice distribution day for beneficiaries. Volunteer orientation will be given on the first day of volunteer work. Please contact Mary Grace Beltran at 09352439493 for details.
 
Volunteers are expected to provide assistance in the following construction-related work: 
 
1. Earth Excavation
2. Installation of Form Works and Scaffoldings
3. Concrete Works:
- installation of Footing, Columns, Beams, Flooring, Plinth
4. Masonry Works
5. Plastering
6. Roof Framing
7. Roofing
8. Panels
9. Gieble Windows
10. Installation of Water Harvesting System
- Gutter / Fascia Board
- Downspout
11. Painting (walls, ceiling)
