This after-school program was created by teachers of La Huerta Elementary School to help students in Grades 1-3. Department of Education requires students in Elementary to be able to read and comprehend, but some students need further assistance in reading. This program hopes to help them excel in school and boost their confidence.
What do I need to do?
Teach kids ages 8-10 years old to read and enhance their vocabulary. Activity sheets will be provided but feel free to bring some reading materials.
