Volunteer Event
We are inviting you to be part of Mano Amiga's Annual Brigada Eskwela, also known as the “Bayanihan Para sa Paaralan (Working Together for Schools)", adds a new meaning to the Filipino concept of unity. As its name suggests, an army of volunteers assemble to prepare & repair classrooms in time for the opening of classes. The success of this occasion lies in the collaborative effort of school heads, private partners, local government units, volunteers, and the community members, including parents and students. With each one’s effort and contribution, we will be able to provide the students of Mano Amiga a better and more conducive learning environment.
Tasks will range from cleaning, organizing and preparing the classrooms, library and faculty are for the upcoming school year. It will depend on the current need during time of volunteerism, and on what has been accomplished by the volunteers before you. We will also be forwarding you a volunteer agreement for you to accomplish prior to the start of the activity and general guidelines on volunteering at Mano Amiga.
Please wear light clothing such as pants, white shirt since it can get really warm in the school and you will be doing laborious work.
Please bring your own tumbler for drinking water as well. We have water dispensers around the school.
