The Ateneo Art Gallery is looking for Volunteers this August to November 2018!

Learn more about museum work and Philippine modern and contemporary art by volunteering for the Ateneo Art Gallery!

Ateneo Art Gallery’s Volunteer Program promotes the enjoyment of art and contributes to the museum’s educational mission. Our volunteers are given the opportunity to work with the AAG team through museum work while developing new knowledge and skills in the process. Through their involvement with the museum, volunteers will get the opportunity to enhance visitor experience with their understanding of the museum collection and exhibitions.

As a volunteer from August to November, you are expected to:

Join the docent training conducted by the museum staff
Assist the team in manning the various exhibition spaces; making sure that visitors will not touch any of the artworks or go beyond the platforms. Volunteers must be ready to answer general inquiries from guests.
Learn how to put together an installation under the supervision of a visual artist
Act as marshall for crowd control- when needed –during tours

Qualifications:

13 years old and above
Must be ready to engage with various audiences
Must have an interest in arts & culture
Must be available for whole day orientation on August 1 (Wednesday). Time of event will be advised via email once you are accepted.
Must be willing to report to the museum at least twice a week, minimum of 4 hours per day. Interested volunteers may choose between these schedules (inclusive of lunchtime for morning schedules):
- TTH (9AM - 2PM)
- TTH (2PM - 6PM)
- WF (9AM - 2PM)
- WF (2PM - 6PM)
- Sat (9AM - 2PM)
- Sun (10AM - 3PM)
