We are looking for:

Volunteers who can help us transform our frontyard to a bio-intensive garden. We are currently in vegetative stage and tasks can be labor intensive. So, have a good night sleep before you engage with us. 

 

*Activities:

Weeding and Hilling up

Land cultivation (minimum tillage)

Removal of gravels from the beds

Collecting of Water Hyacinths for composting

Collecting of Madre de Cacao for Green Manuring

*Activities are changing as cropping days pass by.

 

Where and when do we need you?

At Pusod Taal Lake Conservation Center, before 8:00 am please for dividision of tasks.

What to bring?

  • water tumbler (required since we don't have a nearby drinking water station)
  • food (in reusable containers please) [or Ka Betty's kitchen can cook for you]
  • sunblock, shades, and extra-clothes
  • Php 250 for your local fees (ecological, conservation, IPAF and supplies)

 

Do we continue to farm even if there will be few volunteers who signed up?

 Yes! We tend our hardin on a daily basis with an ave. of 4 hours of agri-chores.
