Objective of the event:

Ø  Our biggest event this 2015 will feature 100 kids from 8 partner beneficiaries in fun art-themed activities. These include Accessory Making, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture and other artistic crafts. A number of art-professionals/ teachers will be on hand in different booths to facilitate the art sessions.

Ø  The event aims to encourage kids to think creatively and express themselves freely. It likewise promotes healthy interaction with other children (and adults as well) while learning new skills.

Ø  Volunteers will be the kuyas and ates of the kids for the day. They will be paired/ grouped with the kids and go around the 3-4 booths of their choice throughout the event.

Community/Beneficiaries:

We have invited kids from 8 of our partner-NGOs to participate in this event. This will include some enthusiastic kids from 4 community-based children’s organizations and 4 orphanages:

Ø  Operation Blessing

Orphanage:

Ø  ECPAT Philippines

Ø  Tuklasan Center

Ø  Children’s Joy Foundation

Ø  Shepherd of the Hills

Fee: Minimal sponsor fee of Php 250 for adults and Php 150 for students. Fee includes your own food, personal ID, U! Happy Events Baller Band and a pen. Your partner kid will also get food, materials and gifts. Payments to be made on the day itself.

How to get to the venue: Address is Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City.

Public Transpo: (Option 1) From SM North Public-Transpo station, ride Jeep going to Philcoa. Get off at Quezon City circle (East Avenue). (Option 2) From MRT- Quezon Avenue Station, ride Jeep at the side of Centris Mall going to Quezon City Circle.

Private Vehicle: Make your way to Elliptical Road (Take EDSA northbound lane. Turn right at East Avenue or Quezon Avenue whichever you prefer. In either option, just go straight till Quezon City Circle). Go inside Quezon City Circle through the East Avenue entrance and ask where volleyball court is. Parking spaces available near the court.

Reminders: To volunteer, register thru +639178874278 or +639188884278. Once your slot is confirmed, just show up at the scheduled date. Please wear comfortable and appropriate clothing. You may bring a towel and change of clothes. Jewelries are not encouraged.
