Database development for a nonprofit

Poverty Alleviation | Jun 08, 2015 | Volunteer Event

DURATION: Jun 8 to 26 2015

Have you always been that detail-oriented, organized guy who wanted to do things right? Brimming with ideas on using information to deliver results? Then help us develop our database system and make a difference!

ACCORD has just recently celebrated 5 years of conducting humanitarian response and disaster risk reduction projects across the country. We dream of a resilient Philippines, whose citizens are not as vulnerable to disasters. But in order to truly make a dent, we must be able to engage and involve more sectors in our work. It takes a man, a woman - actually everyone - pitching in for that dream.

We are looking for a technically skilled volunteer who can help us develop a database system. We would like to organize a database system to manage our data from our work on helping disaster affected communities. Organizing our information can help us improve the delivery of life-saving assistance to poor and vulnerable communities.

ACCORD is a nonprofit organization with limited technical computing skills and resources. If you are a database developer or IT professional, please do consider volunteering. We would really appreciate it. =) The schedule is flexible, and most of the work can be done even when you are at home.

Sign-up now at bit.ly/accordvolunteerinfo and email your resume to masacupan@accord.org.ph. We will get back to you with more details shortly.
