Education | Jul 30, 2022 | Volunteer Event

Progressive Assistance Canada Charity (PAC) is a Canadian-based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) operating in the Philippines, seeking to alleviate the cycle of poverty in the most vulnerable and disenfranchised Filipino Barangays (communities). Addressing the root causes of the cycle of poverty, our programs are based on holistic systems-based approaches towards sustainable development.

We currently have 2 programs that focus on education:

  • Knowledge is Wealth Scholarship Sponsorship Program (KW Scholars) helps provide the students with gadgets and mobile data load for their online classes during the pandemic.
  • Play And Catch-up (PCU) is a weekly fun and learning session with the kids. Currently, this is still done virtually, but pre-pandemic, it was done onsite.

There is also an opportunity to create another program related to Music.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

We’re looking for a long-term, committed volunteer to lead, manage and oversee all Education related programs and coordinations for PAC

Some of the responsibilities of the Education Manager include:

  • review, planning and improvement of the implementation of the Education programs
  • constant communication with the organization's stakeholders, volunteers, sponsors, and scholars
  • delegation of tasks to other Education team member volunteers

More details will be shared during the interview. Please note that the date and time on this post is tentative, and will be changed based on the availability of both interviewer and interviewee.
