Volunteer Event
Support our English Literacy Program. We want to see our scholar's growth and we need volunteer testers to help us.
About the Project
Our organization, Binhi English Literacy Foundation, Inc. (BINHI), founded in 2008 with its vision “to make every Filipino child in school and learning well”, is actively creating solutions by providing English learning support to non and frustrated readers, age 4-9 years old, in public elementary schools through the use of its English learning kits inspired by proven teaching methodologies and training volunteer teachers to implement its programs.
The program runs for 24 weeks. Pupils are tested three times during the program period: pre-test, mid-test, and post-test. We are about to start a new school year for our program, and thus, we are preparing for the pre-test. Tester volunteers will help in the conduct of one-on-one pre-test with Grade 2 pupils aged 7-8 from their chosen schedule from Sep 19 - Oct 7. Each test is expected to last around 20-30 minutes. An orientation will be given on the date of your chosen schedule.
Qualifications and Requirements
Before becoming a BINHI Tester, one must pass the following criteria:
- an advocate of literacy and independent learning with keen observation skills
- can listen and pay attention to important details
- willing to commit at least 4 hours of his/her time (AM or PM schedule) based on your chosen schedule/s from Sep 19 - Oct 7
- willing to travel in any of the following areas: Calamba City, Las Piñas City, Manila City, Parañaque City, Pasay City, Pasig City, Quezon City and must be vaccinated and willing to present vaccination card on the site
