Do you love teaching and playing with kids?
Kythe Online Playdates are designed to make room for children with cancer and other chronic illnesses to learn, play, and grow despite their condition.
Join our team of volunteers who create modules facilitated through online playdates for children, 3-6 years old, with cancer and other chronic illnesses:
Preferably with background in teaching kids, lesson planning, module creation for kids
Can commit within the given timeline below
As part of the volunteer team, you will have an opportunity to interact with the kids and see the module you created in action!
Tools needed:
Desktop/laptop and stable internet connection as this is our main channel of communication
Google Sheet
Google Docs
Zoom
Facebook Messenger
Canva Pro
Expected Output: 1-Hour module with the following program flow:
Mood check
Music and movement
Main activity (Games, Story-telling, Science Experiment, Arts and crafts, etc)
Feedback (5-point likert scale)
Closing Activity
Timeline:
June 17 - Briefing and training
July 1 - Deadline of module output
Optional: Join and facilitate online playdates for patients from different Kythe-affiliated hospitals in August
