Help raise awareness and funds for the Laguna Pit Bull Project (LPB) through a consistent online presence.

In March 2012, an estimated 266 pit bulls were rescued from a dog-fighting syndicate. Many of the animals were found in very poor health. They were cruelly chained to posts buried in filthy mud with nothing more than cut-out steel drums for shelter. They were terribly malnourished, many with wounds inflicted during dog-fighting. Many were suffering from exposure to the elements. Despite medical care, many dogs perished or had to be put to sleep to end their suffering.

Today, 157 remain and CARA continues to medicate them daily because of their ill health–a result of the poor living conditions and lack of medical care in the hands of the dog fighters. CARA wants these surviving dogs to get a chance to live normal lives. But they cannot do it alone. Please help out!

What you will be doing:

• Creates and schedules posts for LPB social media
• Increases the LPB social media reach
• Coordinate with CARA Sec on posting of LPB materials on the CARA Facebook page.

Time Commitment:

• Flexi-time, preferably with a long-term goal to commit a minimum of 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must love animals and not scared of big dog breeds
• Good English and Filipino written communication skills
• Knowledgeable in the use of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
• Has reliable access to the internet
• Preferably knowledgeable in Adobe Photoshop and Indesign
• Can create graphics and posters

Training/Support

• The social media coordinator will be trained on CARA's use of social media.
