What can I do?

Volunteer researcher will:

Gather all the disasters that occurred in the Philippines for particular month. (Ask natin si Malen kung alin na yung natapos at dun tayo start. )
The Source of data will be all publications, nationally circulated newspapers, and the local newspaper. Other sources will be NDRRMC reports and DSWD's disaster response operations monitoring and information center, PhiVolcs, and PAGASA.
Volunteer researcher will compile all gathered data to contribute in writing the Philippine Disaster Report

What do I need?

Smart phone with data, laptop or desktop and internet connection to connect to zoom and social media.

An open mind and lots of enthusiasm will help keep you going!

What do I get for being a volunteer video editor?

(1) Gaining first-hand exposure to Disaster situations and issues on Climate Change faced by the community.

(2) Enhancing skills in disaster situation research, advocacy, and training on Community-based Disaster Management

(3) Expanding contact with fellow volunteers

(4) Helping vulnerable communities address the worsening situation of disaster and effect of covid-19 pandemic
