What is internship?

  • a job-based learning opportunity that provides  relevant work related to a student's area of study or career interest
  • a short amount of time during which an organization offers job experience

Internship requirements:

  • science-related tertiary course from University or College
  • Memorandum of Agreement from the organization and University 
  • medical certificate for health security
  • willing to learn and to be trained
  • can do fieldwork study (geotagging, biodiversity survey, etc.) or office works (report writing, data organization, basic mapping, etc.

Internship inclusive:

  • can join researches, assessments, surveys with researchers and biologists
  • can join in the patrolling and monitoring of Bantay Bukid in the protected ancestral domain of the Obu-Manuvu tribe in Carmen, Davao City
  • can learn how to identify seedlings and geotag the trees, bird watching, and basic mapping

What to prepare:

  • field attires and equipment
  • physically, mentally, and emotionally ready

Schedule

  • the hours rendered will depend on the school's requirement
  • activities will depend on the current project and the organization's calendar

Details: 

  • free food and transportation during fieldworks
