Volunteer Event
Another partnership will happen with Liter of Light. They are an NGO that provides Solar Light bottles to thousands of marginalized homes all over the country- and also to the world. We had our first concept of this event April last year. We are doing part two of this for 3 main reasons:
1. It had a huge following and appeal . The first event was attended by 130 volunteers. Another volunteer opportunity to serve!
2. The beneficiary includes the community of Bgy. St. Joseph. 1,500 houses in that area was burned to the ground last Christmas.
3. The concept is unique and lanterns are just so much fun.
Join us at the Liter of Light Compound. F. Manalo Street, San Juan on February 2, 2013 from 3pm-7pm. There will be two events for two communities. The first part will be happening at the center. 50 kids from Bgy. Batis will participate with volunteers for Liter of Light Art, Magic, Dance and Games. We will also take this time to go through how a Solar Bottle is made and how each one can be part of lighting up communities. The next part will happen from 6-7pm at San Juan Park area for the victims of the fire. We will have a short program and lantern flying there.
We will only be opening this event for 50 volunteers! So sign up soon!
