Detailed Description:

Objective of the event:
 Challenge Island is a new concept that we would like to try with the 50 kids from 2KK as we give them a unique and fun Halloween celebration. This is definitely not your typical trick or treat activity.

 Volunteers will be the kuyas and ates of the kids for the day. They will be grouped with the kids and be stationed in an “island” and will be given tasks for them to do as a group.

 Group activities will test the creativity, communications skills and teamwork of the group as well as tap into the imagination of the kids. The activities challenge the group to think outside of the box while having fun in the process.

 Challenge Island is also a friendly competition between the different “islands” as each team will be judged according to what they accomplish.

 Volunteers are encouraged to be in costume to celebrate Halloween and be in a fun vibe. Top 3 volunteers (Best in Costume) wins a prize.

Beneficiary:  Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid (2KK) or Kapatid is composed of volunteer from High School, College and Young Professionals who spend their Saturdays with the children of Payatas. Our projects range from teaching values and catechism, tutoring, integrated and enrichment activities, field trips, medical-dental missions, special events for holidays, fundraising and more. Fee: Minimal sponsor fee of Php 250 for adults and Php 150 for students. Fee includes your own food, personal ID, U! Happy Events Baller Band and a pen. Your partner kid will also get food, materials and gifts. Payments to be made on the day itself.

How to get to the venue: Address is Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City.

Public Transpo:
(Option 1) From SM North Public-Transpo station, ride Jeep going to Philcoa. Get off at Quezon City circle (East Avenue).
(Option 2) From MRT- Quezon Avenue Station, ride Jeep at the side of Centris Mall going to Quezon City Circle.

Private Vehicle: Make your way to Elliptical Road (Take EDSA northbound lane. Turn right at East Avenue or Quezon Avenue whichever you prefer. In either option, just go straight till Quezon City Circle). Go inside Quezon City Circle through the East Avenue entrance and ask where basketball court is. Parking spaces available near the court.
