We're Hiring: 1 Mangrove Conservation Project Coordinator & 1 Support Staff

  • Location: General Santos City
  • Project Duration: May 25, 2024 – May 1, 2026
  • Contract Type: Full-time, Project-based

 

We’re looking for individuals with a background in coastal ecosystems and a strong commitment to supporting local communities to oversee and implement a small project focused on mangrove restoration and community capacity building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage and collaborate with community partners and other stakeholders
  • Help manage and maintain a mangrove nursery
  • Organize and facilitate trainings, field activities, and educational events
  • Conduct youth conservation camps (on mangroves)
  • Develop and prepare materials for information and education campaigns
  • Manage the project’s social media presence

Qualifications:

  • Work experience in conservation, community development, or education; a relevant academic background is a plus, but not required
  • Has demonstrated strong organization, communication, and project management skills
  • Comfortable working with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and corporate entities
  • Proficient in basic computer tools and internet use
  • Creative and skilled in creating digital content
