40 families displaced in fire in Barangay Ermita, Cebu City
A fire incident occurred on April 4, 2026 at about 7:32pm, in Sitio Proper Barangay Ermita, Cebu City. This resulted to a damage of residential structures and displacements of the burnt down households. The fire spread rapidly due to house made of light material are in close proximity with each other. The roads are too narrow that firefighters has difficulty accessing the area.
Around 39 household are affected, 36 of which is totally damage and 3 houses are partially damage. There is no casualties reported but the fire caused extensive damage to home, personal belongings, and livelihood, leaving the affected families in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.
