Each of us has the responsibility to understand and protect our environment in order to give future generations a better quality of life. Therefore, environmental awareness is emerging to be a very crucial topic not just for climate and natural occurrences, but also for the livelihood of our hardworking fishermen and farmers. The Nature Awareness & Conservation Club, Inc. has been dedicating years of knowledge and passion to promote environmental programs geared towards conservation and humanitarian efforts to help the ones that directly work with the outdoors.
In order to continue this advocacy, NACCI is asking our help for the fishing community residing in Mataas na Bayan in Lemery, Batangas. You can be part of the solution by granting this neighborhood a fishing boat engine, a fishing net and 10,000 pieces of black potting bags. All of which will be used to improve their fishing livelihood and start a mangrove nursery as well.
Mangroves can cultivate a home for different plants and animals, and have the potential to prevent disastrous flooding. With this intention in mind, the Mangrove Farmers Association in Noveleta, Cavite will greatly benefit in having 10 crab trap casts, 15 ground shrimp cages and 100,000 pieces of black potting bags. Granting this fishing community these equipment will not only benefit their livelihood, but can also protect them from damages brought by floods.
You can protect our environment and help communities with their livelihoods while staying safe at home. Fulfill NACCI’s Christmas wish by donating through our channels and make this season a memorable one for you.
