Tanglaw 4 Every Juan

Electrification & Energy | Aug 31, 2022 | Donation Program

1.6 million household and around 12,000 sitios (small communities) remain without electricity, according to National Electrification Administration (NEA) 2020 Report. Most of these communities are those that are marginalized, rural, remote, or islanded.

SOLAR Hope is an NGO that aims to provide solar and sustainable solutions to marginalized communities in the Philippines. Its mission is to light communities, change lives, and give hope to people living without electricity.

Project Tanglaw is our electrification project that aims to light homes through solar that would help improve their quality of life and cope with the pandemic. Since 2017, we have lighted and become beacons of hope to 32 communities and 2,122 homes. In 2019, we were able to light 69 homes with solar lanterns through Tanglaw Batch 1. Last 2020, to help families cope with the pandemic and help in the distance learning, we were able to light 170 homes with solar home systems through Tanglaw Batch 2. In 2021, we have lighted 273 with solar home systems in 3 more communities through Tanglaw Batch 3.

For Tanglaw Batch 4 under “Tanglaw 4 Every Juan”, with the main objective to eventually leave no Filipino without access to energy, we are raising funds for 13 families in Rizal to receive solar home systems. Each unit costs P3,500 and has 2 lighting loads and for mobile charging.

If you wish to help/assistance the community, please don't hesitate to reach us. The community would be truly glad to receive the solar home system with your help!
