The Gawad Kalinga Bayani Challenge is set to bring together passionate volunteers for a meaningful and transformative adventure in Sta. Magdalena from April 30 to May 4, 2026. This annual event gathers “bayani” (heroes) from all walks of life to serve communities through collective action, compassion, and nation-building.
In Sta. Magdalena, a coastal municipality blessed with natural beauty and rich marine resources, volunteers will engage in various activities such as coastal clean-ups, mangrove planting, community building, and values formation sessions. These initiatives aim not only to protect the environment but also to empower local residents and promote sustainable development.
Beyond service, the Bayani Challenge offers a unique adventure—participants will experience the warmth of the local community, explore scenic beaches, and build lasting friendships with fellow volunteers. Each day becomes a journey of purpose, where simple acts of kindness create a ripple of positive change.
