We are looking for 1 Volunteer – Feature Writer to support our Fun Run 

          Volunteer Roles:

• Generates story ideas, such as participant profiles, charity spotlights, or behind-the-scenes race organization.
• Speaks with participants, organizers, beneficiaries, or volunteers to gather personal stories and quotes that add emotional depth.
• Writes creative, narrative-driven articles that capture the atmosphere of the fun run
• Attend the event to observe, take notes, and gather firsthand details
• Revise and polish articles to meet publication standards for tone and clarity. 
  
  Who can volunteer?
• A volunteer with ability to write engaging, descriptive content.
• Finding unique angles for stories that go beyond the typical race report.
• Good listening skills to capture compelling stories from diverse sources.
• Interested in health and wellness, sports and recreation, advocacy, and community work
  
  Why volunteer?
• You get behind-the-scenes access to tell the stories of participants, runners running for causes, and dedicated volunteers, which can be developed into compelling human-interest features.
• Writing event reports, spotlighting participants, or contributing to race-day newsletters provides tangible content for a writing portfolio.
• As a reporter, your work can be published in local media, event blogs, or social media, increasing your exposure as a writer.
