Join us and be a Smile Giver! We need Volunteer Psychologists!
Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation Philippines, Inc. or NCFPI is a non-profit organization accredited by PCNC and DSWD, dedicated to make excellent and compassionate comprehensive cleft and craniofacial treatment and care accessible to Filipinos.
Aside from cleft surgeries, NCFPI offers orthognathic surgeries, Naso-alveolar Molding (NAM) for infants, genetic counseling, pediatric care, speech therapy classes, naso-pharygeal scoping (NPS), general dental services, pediatric dental care, orthodontic treatment and other social and psychosocial services.
NCFPI Psychological Care aims to make real difference to the lives of our patients by providing them play and talk therapy interventions (counseling), psychological assessments as needed to help in the psychological preparedness before the operation as well as after the operation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Brainstorm and create programs, campaigns and activities that address the psychosocial development of our patients (e.g. Anti-bullying, Societal Inclusivity; Resiliency, Life Skills, Personality Development, Self-awareness, etc.)
- Conduct and implement these programs through activities and campaigns that would cater to the psychological care needed by our patients.
Competencies required:
- Psychologist by profession
- Good oral and written communication both in Filipino and English
- Has the passion to uplift and boost the morale of individuals suffering from the stigma of their condition.
- Is professional and accountable as a volunteer
- Love and service for others
