Volunteer Event
On the occasion of the Philippine Jesuit Prison Service (PJPS) 25th Founding Anniversary, we have aligned this milestone occasion on the church's celebration of the National 32nd Prison Awareness Week on 21-27 October 2019.
Various activities are lined up that include:
WHAT: PACK loot bags for the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs)
WHERE: Ina ng Awa Parish Multi-Purpose Hall, New Bilibid Prison (NBP) Reservation, Muntinlupa City. (Nearest toll exit: Susana Heights).
GOAL: 9,000++ loot bags/beneficiaries or 30%of the total population (27,880 as of July 2019 in NBP and 3,220 in Correctional Institute for Women in Mandaluyong).
The loot bags that we hope to prepare will include basic personal necessities, personal hygienic accessories and food items. It will be distributed during Prisons Awareness Week on 21-27 Oct 2019.

- join us for solidarity lunch with other volunteers

Moreover, we also invite you, family members, colleagues and community to visit New Bilibid Prison during the weeklong celebration to gain experiential knowledge and experience on the issues hounding the prison. You may also donate either cash or in-kind for the purchase of the gift packs.
