Let's share our passion for books, stories, imagination, and art & crafts with the children of Barangay Santol (relocation site) in Balagtas Bulacan. The activity will take place on the street next to the Evacuation Center! Let's support this project by the Nanays of the children!
ATD Fourth World street libraries aim to reach communities living in poverty and provide effective access to culture for every child. Books inspire learning and creativity. Education is an effective path out of poverty.
Where to meet? You choose where to join us depending on where you live.
Manila option: At 5:30 am, we leave the ATD office at 5:30 am (1225 labores street, Pandacan, Manila) for Tutuban Bus Station. The bus leaves at 6:30am SHARP.
Balagtas, Bulacan option: At 8:00 am, we'll meet up at the Balagtas Palengke. We'll take the jeep going to Barangay Santol (Stop at cementery).
At 8:30 am, we will do a little orientation for new volunteers at the Evacuation Center of Barangay Santol.
REMINDERS
BE ON TIME. BE RESPECTFUL. Once we are on our way to the venue or conducting the street library, we shall not be able to respond to your inquiries as our attention will be with the kids.
